Ex-NBA Player Brandon Hunter Has Passed Away At The Age of 42

NBA Player Brandon Hunter who played for the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic has passed away at the age of 42 confirmed by the Ohio mens Basketball head coach Jeff Boals on Tuesday.

Brandon Hunter was a standout athlete in high school in Cincinnati and was also a star forward for the Bobcats and achieved 3 first team All-MAC conference selections, as well as led the NCAA in rebounding his senior year which led to him getting drafted 56th overall in the 2003 NBA Draft.

He only managed to play in 67 games over two years in the NBA and had his highest scoring game at 17 points against the Bucks.

He decided to go and play basketball overseas where he jumped around from team to team from 2006 until 2013 in places like Italy, Greece, Puerto Rico and others.

Once he retired from basketball he got into coaching, real estate and sports management.

Jeff Boals posted on instagram saying “RIP to a Bobcat Great,” as well as, “Gone way too soon.”

T.J. Ford ex-NBA player also posted on his social media, “We just spoke last week. Losing a lot of my friends lately.”

Information about his passing have yet to be released.
