The upcoming Bad Bunny residency in Puerto Rico this summer has sparked a surge in visitor interest, with Airbnb reporting a 140% increase in lodging searches during the concert period compared to 2024.

The residency, running from July 11 to Sept. 14 at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, is drawing visitors from beyond the San Juan metro area, with searches increasing in places like Vega Baja, Guaynabo, and Mayagüez. U.S. cities with large Puerto Rican populations such as New York, Orlando, and Chicago are the top sources of Airbnb searches during the concert dates, reflecting a strong connection between the diaspora and the island.
International interest is also on the rise, with travelers from Spain, Mexico, Canada, and other countries showing increased searches related to the residency.
Airbnb highlighted the economic opportunities for host communities and the role of Puerto Rican hosts in promoting local businesses and inclusive economic growth.
