Bad Bunny Ignites Controversy For Being Called ‘the King Of Pop’ On The Cover Of Forbes

Bad Bunny is now known as the ‘king of streaming,’ ‘king of Reggaeton,’ and ‘king of Latin music.’ With all these nicknames, Forbes magazine called him the new ‘King of Pop’ on its latest cover.

The adjective didn’t go over well with fans, and they took to social media to call out the publication for being “disrespectful” to Michael Jackson.

Undoubtedly, the Puerto Rican musician has achieved a lot in his career. Forbes notes that he has more digital plays than Taylor Swift and is among the most successful singers under 30.

Also, Bad Bunny was the first Latin act to headline Coachella in April while doing his whole show in Spanish. The singer’s fans called him a “pride and an inspiration for Latinos” and praised his accomplishments.

Do you think Bad Bunny could be called the “king of pop?” Why or why not?
