After catching a lot of heat over his recent statements, Timbaland has issued an apology for suggesting that Justin Timberlake ‘put a muzzle’ on Britney Spears.

Timbaland said after receiving the backlash, “I apologize to the Britney fans and her.”

He continued on his live while reading comments, “Yes, ‘you know about respecting women?’ Hell yeah.”

Many fans were still upset over Tim’s comments, with one person commenting, “Timbaland saying that Justin Timberlake should have put a ‘muzzle’ on Britney is actually INSANE considering Britney has been treated like a caged animal for the past 13 years.”
